Setting Default Assignees and Followers
This article goes over the steps to create Default Assignees and Followers for Service Requests, Inspections, Make Readies and Projects. Users will be automatically assigned tasks to which they are set as the default assignee. Users set as a Default Follower will receive updates to any task group that they are set as a default follower. IAs and example, if a user wants to be updated about inspections that are completed then they should be set as a default follower of inspections. Likewise, if a user wants to be updated about make ready tasks they should be set as a default follower of make readies. We recommend that the Maintenance Supervisor be set as the default assignee for Service Requests, this notifies the supervisor each time a request is added in NVM and allows them to reassign to the appropriate user quickly. Here are the steps to set up Default Assignees and Followers.
1. Navigate to https://app.servusconnect.com/app
2. Select "Properties" from sidebar.
3. Select desired property.
4. Once at the desired property select the "Assignees & Followers" tab.
5. There are 4 options, each having one Default Assignee and one or more Default Followers. Those options are:
- Service Request
- Inspections
- Make-Ready
- Projects
6. NOTE: There can only be one Default Assignee as this will be the person always getting assigned the task you have them selected for, however, there can be multiple followers as they receive notifications for when something new comes in or updates to the given task.
7. Select the plus button to add an assignee or follower.
8. Select the desired user from the list of available users assigned to that property.
9. Click Confirm to save changes.
