NetVendor Maintenance Release Notes
Please review the list below for recent updates to the NVM system, including a combination of major feature releases, plus bug fixes and enhancements.
November 2024
- Inspections: NetVendor Inspections App update was released on Google and Apple stores on Nov. 5th, with new name and logo, but same great app. If auto-updates are enabled on your device, there should be no actions required in order to receive the updated app.
October 2024
- Inspections: Photo uploader improvements to the Inspections app, including a visual status indicator on various pages, specifically when there are photos pending to upload to the server.
- General: Resource Center is now live! Easy access to Product & Support information, upcoming general Training sessions and Events, plus NetVendor News.
- Dashboard: The next Phase of improvements were made to the primary Dashboard, including the following updates:
- Each widget is now loaded and tracked independently, improving overall performance of the dashboard load time.
- The primary notification banner has been removed, and replaced with individual sync status messages within each widget (see below).
- Each widget can now be refreshed manually, which also helps to quickly update stats when necessary.
September 2024
- General: Several updates to hand-outs/flyers that are referenced within the core application, as listed here:
- Make-Readies: A brand new Scheduling feature is now available, allowing an operator to easily drag-and-drop tasks from an unscheduled or previously scheduled state to a new date. Initial filtering includes the ability to filter unscheduled tasks by move-out date (e.g., next 30 days). Note that with this feature release, the grid-view has been renamed as a "Whiteboard" and this new calendar view is named "Schedule", as shown below.
- Make-Readies: The Scheduling calendar now includes a heat-map to indicate lighter & heavier days of task scheduling on the calendar. This is especially helpful for rescheduling tasks that get automatically scheduled on weekends or holidays, among other reasons.
- Make-Readies: When completing a task, the operator can now manually update which Assignee completed the task, as shown below. This is intended to improve reporting to ensure that those that did the work are getting the credit for that work.
- Navigation: The left side menu on both PC and Tablet can now be collapsed to enable more screen real-estate for the main window. The collapse feature appears as shown in the attached photo below, as well as a hover tooltip to indicate what each icon references.
- Dashboard: The next Phase of improvements were made to the primary Dashboard, including the following updates:
- Notification banner now reflects the last time the data in the dashboard was updated, and can easily be updated on a refresh.
- Individual widgets update independently from the others, and will show the data after it gets refreshed.
- Additional performance related enhancements are scheduled for mid-September.
- Make-Readies: An improvement was released specific to future Residents that have cancelled a future lease with a move-in date. The system will now detect that the future Resident is no longer associated to the Unit and remove the Move-In date from the Make-Ready Project for that Unit.
- Make-Readies: The Tasks view now allows column sorting and the ability to filter the Tasks by a specific Unit. This enhancement allows a user to drill into a list of Tasks associated to a Unit, Category, etc. and take follow-on actions.
- Insights: Specific to Regional Managers, a new Property filter now automatically selects "My Properties" instead of All Properties in the Company's portfolio. Here is what to look for in the right-side Filter menu of Insights:
- Service Requests: For those that have SR Completion Surveys enabled, the data/results can be located on the individual Unit detail pages, on the right side toward the bottom. This allows an operator to look at a Unit and get the full history of SR Completion Survey responses in a single place.
August 2024
- Make-Readies: Given the importance of accurately tracking which user performed which task, several updates were made in this area to improve reporting.
- Service Professional users can now claim make-ready tasks, in the event that they are not already assigned to another team member. Once claimed, they can access the complete button and mark the task as completed, among other things like adding notes and photos.
- The task now tracks which user marked the task complete and when they did that. The complete date now supersedes the scheduled date for purposes of accurately reporting when tasks were completed and by whom.
- Support: We have officially migrated our old ServusConnect knowledge base support site to our new NetVendor Maintenance site (you are here!). This works together with the new request form or inbox for requesting Support (maintenance@netvendor.com), which was initiated in early June.
- Make-Readies: Schedule "Grid" View now supports the ability to break your list into several pages, in the event that you have more than (50) in the list. Note that this may be more useful when viewing your list of archived (past) make-ready projects, as those will add up over time.
- Inspections: Extra data logging added to the mobile app, to improve tracking of photos taken during an Inspection.
July 2024
- Service Requests: The SR Completion Survey data can now be found on a dedicated Insights dashboard, located here.
- Administration & Insights: Properties can now be organized into Regions, which allows those that like to view data at a Regional level to quickly dive into their specific Region(s) in Insights without having to select their specific properties one-by-one. The property to region mapping must be done by a Company Admin on the Company Settings page, or by contacting Support.
- Insights: Additional filters added to all dashboards to allow users to view Active vs. Archived property data, as well as filter by Regions.
- Make-Readies: Several interface improvements to the Schedule "Grid" View, specifically for users on a mobile device. Improvements include additional capabilities for sorting by dates or unit names, and visual indicators that highlight projects that have date conflicts.
- Service Requests: On the primary dashboard, the "Held for 14+ Days" count has been copied from the dedicated On Hold widget, and now included in the Actions widget, to emphasis that an action may need to be taken for those service requests sitting in the On Hold queue too long.
- Dashboard: Step 1 of improving page load times for users, especially those managing many properties. Step 2 includes further performance related enhancements, and is scheduled for August.
- Make-Readies & Inspections: Several improvements to help enforce completion or removal of required Inspections before the corresponding Task can be marked as completed or removed, respectively. This is meant to improve the accuracy of the data collected within the system.
- Make-Readies: Task completion dates are now tracked, in addition to the date the task was scheduled.
- Service Requests: Mobile app now displays SR scheduled and due dates in the mobile view.
June 2024
- Make-Readies: Several interface improvements to the Schedule "Grid" View, specifically for properties with many projects in process. For example, the header labels stay visible when scrolling vertically and now the list can be sorted by unit name.
- Service Requests: Improvements to SR tagging system in order to allow AI-based tags to be applied.
- Notifications: Email template layout and design updates to align with the NetVendor Maintenance branding, including emails sent to Residents.
- Administration: The Company Settings feature is now available for user and property management across an entire Property Management company. This feature can be demonstrated by contacting Support or your Account Manager.
- Inspections: Improved data gathering when a user attempts to remove a required Inspection from their list of ToDos.
- Support: New inbox email address for requesting support - maintenance@netvendor.com.
May 2024
- General: Photos management for all features has been moved to a new service, which should improve the ability to load photos faster, especially on mobile devices.
- Inspections: Improvement to Inspection Projects Time Slice tracking to accurately indicate how many required Inspection ToDos are required for the current Time Slice.
- Make-Readies: Improved collection, tracking, and display of move out and move in dates from Property Management Software into the corresponding Make-Ready project within NetVendor Maintenance.
- Inspections: A PM role user with Regional Manager capabilities can now update the Unit associated with a submitted Inspection, in the event it was initiated for the wrong Unit.
- Make-Readies: Improvements to alignment of Unit status within Property Management Software to the Make-Ready status within NetVendor Maintenance, especially when a Notice-to-Vacate is cancelled and the Unit moves back to Occupied (No Notice).
- Notifications: All system notification emails are now sent from the NetVendor domain, replacing the ServusConnect domain. Please whitelist the NetVendor domain for your Users, if it is currently blocked.
April 2024
- Make-Readies: Enhancement to scheduling automation to ensure that all defined Tasks get scheduled automatically when the Make-Ready Project is created for a Unit.
- Service Requests: Update to allow SR Completion Survey feature to be managed per property, in the event that not all properties need to implement a specific Survey.
- Inspections: Several design updates to mobile app to reflect NetVendor branding.
- General: Several design updates to application pages to reflect NetVendor branding, including pages which Residents interact with.
- Make-Readies: Improve mapping between Vacancies matrix view and associated filtered results on the Schedule "Grid" View.
March 2024
- Service Requests: The SR Completion Survey feature is now live for all users. Further information about how to setup and use this feature can be found here.
- Make-Readies: Enhanced tracking of Move-out date from Property Management Software, to improve date tracking within the Make-Ready project.
- Make-Readies: Improvements to Task list view filtering based on Make-Ready project status.
- Inspections: Fix markers on floor plan image when a Finding is found and listed on the Findings page.
- Make-Readies: Added an activities tab to the Project detail page, that collects activities from all Tasks and places them into a single thread.
- Dashboard & Make-Readies: Classic Projects widget has been hidden when Projects feature is no longer configured for an PMC Account. This allows for the recent Make-Readies feature to have its own widget on the Dashboard for those PMC Accounts where this is enabled.
- Make-Readies: For PMC Accounts integrated with MRI Software, the Make-Readies feature is now available within NetVendor Maintenance.
February 2024
- Service Requests: The Unit address is now displayed below the Unit name in both the Service Request list view and detail view.
- Make-Readies: The Task list view can now be filtered by the Make-Ready category.
- Make-Readies: Tasks can now be assigned to all available recipients at a Property, to match up with Service Request assignment.
- Make-Readies: Tasks can now be viewed across ALL connected Properties, for more efficient Task management (scheduling and assignment).
- Make-Readies & Inspections: Tasks where an Inspection is associated now refer to those Inspections as Related Items. These can be found in the Related Items tab on the main Project and also within the Task details. Those Inspections can also be launched directly from within the Task detail view and when submitted, the Task is automatically marked as completed.
January 2024
- Administration: In late December we released the consolidated Property Team Table feature, replacing the prior tables that were split up by roles. Further information about how to use the Property Team Table actions can be found here.
- General: The legacy ServusConnect app (with the green 'S' logo) has been removed from the app stores and is no longer supported. Please ensure that your property users have all moved over to the official mobile apps, as shown on this flyer.
- Make-Readies: The Property Management Software Unit status change detection logic has been updated to monitor for changes that indicate a Skip/Eviction has occurred, in order to automatically create a Make-Ready Project for that Unit.
- Make-Readies: The Task list view now supports viewing items in pages, instead of a long vertical scroll.
- Make-Readies: The key dates, including the Ready Date, are now clearly displayed in the Schedule "Grid" View and a visual beacon is now used to designate when a conflict exists in the dates. For example, the Move In date is scheduled before the Target Ready Date or specific Task scheduled dates.
